Gallery Didier to showcase the sculptural treasures
of Ute Decker at Design Basel 2013
This summer studio-jeweller Ute Decker will become the first contemporary artist to be given a spotlight showcase at Design Basel (June 11th-16th) by Didier Ltd, the London gallery that is unique worldwide in specializing in historical jewels by leading 20th-century painters and sculptors.
Ute Decker’s pieces will be presented alongside an exhibition of jewels by the renowned Italian sculptors and jewellers, Arnaldo and Gio Pomodoro, as well as works by other artists including Louise Bourgeois, Man Ray and Louise Nevelson.
Didier Haspeslagh, director of Didier Ltd, enthuses about Ute Decker as a “future icon of jewellery art”, and reveals that together with his wife Martine “have been collecting Ute’s work privately for some time now. Her unique work was a real discovery for us and we are thrilled to bring her pieces to Design Basel.”

London Festival of Architecture showcases
architectural jewellery by ethical jeweller Ute Decker
This July, the London Festival of Architecture showcases a solo exhibition of her signature one-of-a-kind and small-series pieces in recycled silver and Fairtrade gold.
Ute Decker’s work has a contemporary yet somehow timeless feel. Her pieces are not so much literal re-interpretations of actual edifices but rather wearable sculptures suggestive of an architectural language of forms.

Following a series of successful exhibitions last year in the Paris Louvre, Tokyo, Vienna and Amsterdam Ute Decker’s work can now for the first time be seen in the US this April.

Kentshire is one of the foremost dealers of fine English antique furniture and decorative objects in America. Complementing Kentshire’s fine antique and period jewellery collection, the gallery has a programme of showcasing contemporary masters of jewellery.
Kentshire regularly exhibits at Masterpiece London, Design Miami and several prestigious fairs held at the Armory in New York.
Ute Decker will be in New York for the Opening Reception on Wednesday 18th April 2012 at Kentshire Galleries on Madison Avenue where her work will continue to be exclusively available in the US alongside Kentshire’s boutique in Bergdorf Goodman.

Ute Decker’s work can next be seen in Tokyo at the end of August while in July her Land’s End arm sculpture will be on display at the annual Women's Jewelry Association Awards For Excellence Dinner in NYC.
Only two and a half years after setting up her studio, Ute Decker has been selected to exhibit at the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Fair this October while in November she has again been invited to Sieraad, the International Jewellery Art Fair, in Amsterdam.

Ute Decker to exhibit Fairtrade gold collection
at Ethical Jewellery Pavilion
Ute Decker, one the world’s first jewellers to have launched a collection in Fairtrade and Fairmined gold, is exhibiting at Essence - the Ethical Jewellery Pavilion during London Jewellery Week this June.
The Fairtrade and Fairmined gold collection PURE reflects in its minimalist, clean and pure lines the purity of the gold’s provenance.
The Fairtrade and Fairmined Ecological gold in which Ute Decker handcrafts her minimalist PURE collection is alluvial gold mined by artisanal miners without the use of chemicals.
The gold for PURE is sourced from the Corporación Oro Verde, a collective of community, sustainability and environmental groups from the Choco bioregion of Colombia.
