PAD London 2025: represented by Carpenters Workshop Gallery
Carpenters Workshop Gallery presents 'Silk Wing' by artist jeweller Ute Decker at PAD London 2025 in a showcase celebrating 15 leading female artists and designers.
Experience contemporary sculpture and jewellery by artists at PAD London, where Carpenters Workshop Jewellery presents a curated display celebrating the profound influence of over 15 leading female artists and designers on the world of contemporary creativity and craftsmanship.
The presentation beautifully illustrates the seamless relationship between the two forms, featuring my sculptural jewellery alongside functional sculpture, seating, and lighting. This cross-disciplinary approach highlights how practitioners bridge the gap between fine art and wearable sculpture.
The selection includes pieces by celebrated and emerging names who define modern elegance:
• Michèle Lamy showcases a range of jewellery designed with Loree Rodkin, featuring finger armour complemented by functional sculptures in collaboration with Rick Owens.
• Aki Cooren and Arnaud Cooren pendants, rings, earrings, and bracelets displayed alongside complementary pieces, including Fauteuil Black and two lighting pieces.
• Historically relevant works by the renowned French metalworker Line Vautrin.
• Emerging design talents, newly represented by the gallery, include Jane Schmitt, whose rings, bracelets, and brooches are imaginatively sculptural, and Alina Alamorean. French artist Léa Mestres makes her UK exhibition debut.
I am delighted my work is included in this selection of contemporary jewellery alongside fellow female artists and designers, including Sonia Delauney, Jacqueline Rabun, Kayo Saito, Cindy Sherman, Sylvie Auvray, Hermien Cassiers, Ane Christensen, Alice Cicolini, and Caroline Van Hoek, and functional sculptors such as Alexandra Batten (Batten and Kamp), Ingrid Donat, Najla El-Zein, Lonneke Gordijn (Studio DRIFT), and Simone Prouvé.
This thoughtful presentation reflects Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s commitment to artists who illuminate the essential intersection between jewellery and sculptural design within the broader field of contemporary art, craft and design.
